Your cruise at a glance

Hand-crafted highlights

Unforgettable experiences await you on this exploration of Newfoundland and Canada, timed to coincide with the beautiful foliage of the fall season. As Borealis cruises along the picturesque St. Lawrence rivers, you will see the changing colours of 'leaf-peeping' season as trees transition from greens to blazing reds, oranges, and yellows. You will have the opportunity to meet an award-winning fiddler in St. John's, learn about Newfoundland's Irish heritage, discover how local maple syrup is made, and take part in a screech-in ceremony, a traditional Newfoundland custom. You will also be joined by wildlife charity ORCA, who will have representatives on hand to help you spot marine life from Borealis.

Highlights

The changing colours of fall season

Your cruise aboard Borealis has been perfectly timed to allow you to witness the beautiful changing hues of Canada's trees in the fall season. As 'leaf peeping' season begins, forests around the St. Lawrence River will be ablaze with vivid oranges, reds, and yellows intermingled with shades of green. In Forillon National Park, you'll be able to admire its spectacular rock formations covered in changing shades of foliage, colonies of seabirds and local wildlife such as black bears and moose.

Cruise to Canada

Canada's way of life

On this cruise to Canada aboard Borealis, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Canadian life, discovering how local maple syrup is produced and how the different colours and flavours are honed; experiencing the "Screech In" ceremony, which welcomes visitors to the Newfoundland region with a shot of screech rum, reciting the Screecher's Creed, and kissing a cod; or meeting an award-winning fiddler and hearing their stories told through music.
