Making the most of every single day
Birdlife of the British Isles

Scenic Discoveries – Fingal's Cave
The mysterious hexagonal basalt columns of Fingal’s Cave on Staffa Island were formed by ancient volcanic activity, but the cave is also full of tales of mythical Scottish folklore. It is said that the giant Finn McCool constructed the cave and sheltered here when he marched across from the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland in a bid to reach his arch rival Benandonner, who had threatened the Emerald Isle.
Tour to Tresco Abbey Garden
Explore the sub-tropical botanical paradise of Tresco Abbey Garden. Sitting in the ruins of a Benedictine priory, it is home to an impressive collection of 20,000 plant species heralding from as far as New Zealand. As you explore this ‘perennial Kew’, keep your eyes peeled for red squirrels, one of Britain’s most treasured yet most endangered species, darting about in the trees alongside the humble bee.
Flavours of the South Coast
On our British Isles cruises that visit the beautiful counties of Dorset, Devon and Cornwall, take time to discover delectable cream teas, and experience each sequence in which the jam and cream should be served, Cornish pasties filled to the brim with a wonderful combination of meat, vegetables and potatoes, Dorset Knob biscuits or local Devonshire cheeses and cider. On board your ship, our talented Chefs will provide cookery demonstrations throughout your cruise, where you will be able to learn how to recreate traditional dishes.
"Lovely to visit Shetland and Orkney, somewhere we’ve wanted to see for a while. Loved the Isle of Man, definitely want to go back there again".
