Your cruise at a glance

Hand-crafted highlights

On this exploration of Ireland’s iconic coastline, you can savour some of the fabled isle’s most remote and remarkable scenery, including the natural wonder of Giant’s Causeway, with its fascinating interlocking basalt columns. As Bolette diverts away from the main routes, you will see the incredible landscapes of Arranmore, the Slieve League Cliffs and the Cliffs of Moher. Immerse yourself in the traditional Irish way of life by sampling a drop of Jameson Whiskey or a pint of Guinness, enjoying céilí dancing, or listening to Shanakee storytelling. You will also have the chance to learn about the Titanic in Belfast and visit Cobh, her last port of call before she departed for America.

Highlights

Cliffs of Moher, Ireland

Iconic Irish Coastline

Your cruise aboard Bolette will sail along some of Ireland's most spectacular coastlines, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of The Giant's Causeway where you'll have the chance to discover the unique hexagonal basalt columns, formed by volcanic activity, and said to have been created by the giant Finn McCool. You will also enjoy scenic cruising past two of the Wild Atlantic Way's natural wonders the entirely vertical Cliffs of Moher, home to a large number of bird species; and marvel at the dramatic vistas of Ireland's highest sea cliffs at Slieve League, where it's possible to see the ‘Giants Desk and Chair’, a significant element of the history of the region.

Traditional Irish Island Life

Immerse yourself in traditional Irish life and discover the enchanting Gaelic culture of the Emerald Isle. Enjoy listening to a shanakee as they tell you stories of legend, marvel at the skill of Irish dancers as they perform céilí and step dancing, and indulge in typical Irish fayre by enjoying Irish stew with soda bread and a Guinness. Join us at a Jameson Distillery, taking you beyond just the whisky-making techniques, and to the very heart of the traditions that have shaped its flavours. In Cork, enjoy a visit to Blarney Castle, home to the famous Blarney Stone, where a kiss of it is said to bestow the gift of eloquence or “the gift of the gab”.

Titanic museum, Belfast

Ireland's cruise ships links

With a rich seafaring history, Belfast and Cork have significant links with cruising, and in particular the infamous Titanic. In Belfast's Titanic Quarter, you can see the slipway from where the luxury cruise liner was first launched and the dry dock where she was beautifully furnished. The museum here is built on the site of Harland & Wolff, also once owned by Fred. Olsen, and must be visited as it serves as a poignant reminder of the "Ship of Dreams". In Cork, join us on a tour of the Titanic Experience, and step back in time to April 1912, sharing the excitement of boarding the most luxurious cruise ship of the time and understanding how life was on board.
