The St. Kitts Scenic Railway, built in the 1920s, is regarded as the "last railway in the West Indies." Originally built to transport sugar cane from the plantations to Basseterre, the island's capital city, the train is now equipped with custom-built double-decker carriages, with the upper deck's carriage open-sided for unrestricted views of the sugar cane fields and surrounding landscapes. While on board the train, you'll have the opportunity to discover the history behind the sugar cane farming process on a tour from your ship.
