Explore Coastal Cliffs & Teetering Towns
On your cruise to the Mediterranean and the beautiful Amalfi Coast, you'll discover a multitude of tiny villages and towns that seem to teeter on the edge of cliffs. Sorrento offers colourful buildings framing the little harbour at Marina Grande that look out over the Gulf of Naples, where the scent of citrus fruit hangs in the end, blending perfectly with the salty sea air. You'll also visit the historic port city of Salerno, where an exploration of its medieval streets and vibrant waterfront is not to be missed. As you sail past the famed Amalfi Coast, turn your eyes upwards to witness the picture-perfect towns here perched at the top of craggy cliffs, surrounded by lemon groves, before gazing at the island of Capri and its steep cliffs that rise out of azure blue waters, adorned with elegant villas. Join us on deck as we sail along turquiose seas, past the lush hills of north-west Ibiza, and watch the sun set against the backdrop of the 'White Island'.
Immerse yourself in La Dolce Vita
Italians live by the concept of 'La Dolce Vita', translating as 'The Sweet Life', by encapsulating the essence of enjoying life's pleasures and cultural richness. On this Bolette cruise, you'll have plenty of opportunities to soak up the warm Mediterranean sun while immersing yourself in the Amalfi Coast's delicious cuisine. The region is well-known for its bountiful supply of lemons, used to make the tangy and refreshing limoncello liquer, perfect when served ice-cold and accompanying Spuntini (small bites) like bruschetta or with a richly decadent tiramisu. Be sure to savour Scialatielli pasta served simply with clams, mussels, prawns, and cuttlefish. Meanwhile, vineyards are dotted across the countryside, producing wines of unparallelled quality and depth, giving an insight into Italy's rich winemaking heritage. Enjoy a scenic drive to the picturesque town of Sartène, perched on a rock that overhangs the Rizzanèse Valley. Upon arrival, visit the Place de la Liberation and the Church of St. Maria. Conclude your tour at one of the iconic Sartène vineyards for the opportunity to taste its highly regarded Sartène wine.

Anthea Nardi
Anthea's passion for ancient civilisations stems from both her academic background and her upbringing in a family immersed in two distinct ancient histories. Her love of history and adventure has driven her to explore over 75 countries and six continents, seeking out the world's greatest archaeological sites. She is excited to be joining us on this cruise to deliver a series of talks on Roman history at the archaeological sites of the destinations you will be visiting.
Go Stargazing
Go Stargazing is formed of a group of astronomers, all of whom are keen to encourage public interest in astronomy to as wide an audience as possible. Join Martin Whipp on your cruise for stargazing sessions conducted on the top deck in the evenings.
Kitty Jenkinson
Kitty has spent most of her career in travel, guiding tours throughout Western Europe. She settled near the city of Rome where she studied Italian and eventually became an English teacher. After 27 years in Italy, she now lives in Sussex, though she visits Italy every year. Kitty is excited to share her experiences and insights, including useful Italian phrases, to help guests enjoy the Italian way of life.

UK passport holders will need visas for certain Fred. Olsen cruise holidays and will be advised at the time of booking. On certain sailings we offer two types of cruise fares; Freedom and Saver Fares.
Our single guests feel right at home on board our ships; Fred. Olsen have the reputation of sailing the friendliest fleet afloat.
Disembarking when your ship's at anchor is a very different experience to when it's docked portside. Getting ashore in this instance often involves the use of the ship's tender, which is accessed via the steps of a secure gangway.
