Your cruise aboard Bolette will take you on an epic journey from the iconic city of Sydney to Melbourne and then on to the fascinating island of Tasmania, where Hobart is home to the Shot Tower that overlooks the city. From here, the vast plains of Africa beckon, and chances to encounter the Big Five on special overland safari tours are not to be missed. The world's oldest desert, the Namib, offers scenes of wild seascapes and sky-high sand dunes that seem to defy gravity, and close by is Walvis Bay, where you'll have the opportunity to witness the flocks of flamingoes that visit here, turning the desert into delicate pink hues. Sample traditional Namibian cuisine, including game and seafood, before sailing on to one of the most remote islands on earth, subtropical St. Helena, whose unique blend of nature and history offers an abundance of diverse attractions, including the intriguing 699 steps of Jacob's Ladder and rugged coastlines. You can also learn how the island was used as a place of exile for prisoners, including Napoleon, who died on St. Helena.

No cruise to South Africa is complete without seeing the Big Five, so join us on a thrilling overland tour across vast plains to experience game drives going in search of lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo in their natural habitat or admire the magnificent Victoria Falls from special overland tours. Nestled between the arid Namib wilderness and the South Atlantic Coast, Lüderitz is a small village surrounded by azure waters teeming with seals, penguins, and dolphins, while Walvis Bay is home to Swakopmund Lagoon, where visiting flamingoes turn the horizon into a delicate shade of pink.
Discover the remote island of St. Helena
Nestled in the South Atlantic Ocean, the island of St. Helena is one of the remotest in the world, with its own subtropical microclimate creating a diverse landscape of volcanic rock, mountains, and lush greenery that nurtures an abundance of unique wildlife. The capital of Jamestown has a rich heritage, and the town is testament to bygone days with beautifully crafted Georgian houses lining its streets. Venture further afield, and the island has many walking trails to explore, with Diana's Peak, the highest point on the island, offering views across rugged landscapes. St. Helena's culture is one of warmth and a strong sense of community and pride in its traditions and customs, such as enjoying delicious local dishes, or simply spending time with a 'Saint', as the people of the island like to be called.

Disembarking when your ship's at anchor is a very different experience to when it's docked portside. Getting ashore in this instance often involves the use of the ship's tender, which is accessed via the steps of a secure gangway.
