Our Signature Experiences

We believe that a cruise is very different from a holiday. A cruise is about being out there on the ocean, exploring the world from the vantage point of the sea, enjoying the journey itself, not just the destinations. We like to focus on that feeling of boarding your ship for the first time, the excitement of visiting new places, and the warmth and conviviality of our on board teams, ensuring you are valued and well looked after - as we say in Norway, 'I det beste selskap' - in the best of company.

On board every cruise, and alongside all the lovely food, drink, entertainment and activities you'd expect, you can enjoy some of our Signature Experiences.

Scenic Discoveries

Where other cruise lines tend to take the fastest route from A to B, we prefer to take our guests on the most fascinating routes possible. We take the time to ensure you see all the islands, ports, waterways, lochs, lakes, fjords and coastal landscapes possible and to help you understand more about them.

Either out on deck or from the comfort of our Observatory Lounges, our on-board teams provide commentary, point out places of interest, share stories of local people and culture and help you spot and identify marine and birdlife.

On some sailings, we travel with nature specialists from the whale and marine life charities, ORCA and Ocean Wildlife Encounters, who will help you identify whales, dolphins and other marine life.

To make your experience more special, on clear nights we host ‘Stargazing’ experiences where you can sit back on the open deck, wrapped in a blanket with a hot chocolate or hot toddy to warm you whilst listening to our experts as they bring the night sky to life and enhance your understanding of the stars above.

On selected itineraries, we sail to seek out the unique Northern Lights or the beauty of the midnight sun.
