This month on Balmoral, we had the privilege of celebrating two of our lovely guests, Mr and Mrs Stokes (who feature in our TV advert), who reached the incredible milestone of 1,500 nights spent on board our ships – that's equivalent to over four years!
To mark this amazing achievement, our team arranged a surprise celebration, under the guise of a new show preview. Inviting them to the Neptune Lounge, our team – including Doug Glenwright, Guest Experience Director, Susana Entrena, Hotel Operations Director and Mr Olsen Snr – presented them with cake, drinks, canapés and flowers. A heartfelt performance followed, featuring Head Baker Richard, Pastry Cook Raffy and Gervin from the San Juan Trio, accompanied by singers from the Show Company.
Mr and Mrs Stokes shared: "Wow, what a fantastic surprise party to celebrate our 1,500 nights. We were totally fooled by the invitation to watch the show team rehearse a new show. It was so wonderful that Mr Olsen Snr was in attendance. We have made so many good friends with officers and crew during our 1,500 wonderful nights and hope to make many more in the next 1,500. Thank you again for another magical moment with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.”
