New Shops and souvenirs

Port shop, new branding, souvenirs

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has opened a brand new shop across the fleet, adorned with the signature swirly carpet and vibrant illustrations. This means that guests can now get their hands on branded merchandise including t-shirts, water bottles and lanyards whilst sailing. As part of an ongoing initiative, there are plans to introduce new products and collections in the coming months, enhancing the on-board retail experience for guests.

Indulge in the New In-Cabin Menu

Sandwiches and drinks from room service menu, balcony

We’re excited to announce the launch of a new-and-improved room service menu, which is included in the cruise ticket price. This enhanced in-cabin menu will be available to guests between 10am and 11pm, excluding embarkation and debarkation days. Guests can easily view the menu on their cabin TV and via the on-board Wi-Fi Portal. The menu features a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas and delicious desserts, designed to cater to a range of tastes.

Explore Independently with Musement

Tourists on open top sightseeing bus Hop on hop off - exploring the city

The Destination Experiences Team is pleased to release a new addition to its programme, providing the opportunity for guests who enjoy exploring independently. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines recommends the services of Musement which allows guests to purchase tickets and passes for various attractions, and book activities including hop-on-hop-off buses in selected cities. To take advantage of this new offering, guests can visit the ‘Independent Exploration’ section in their My Cruises account.

Lasting crew friendships

Captain Degerlund in the bridge

We love hearing about the friendships that guests form with our crew, but it's heart-warming to know that our crew also build strong bonds among themselves while at sea.

Captain Mikael Degerlund has proudly commanded our flagship, Bolette, for the past three years but will soon be moving over to Borealis. To wish him well, the team on Bolette surprised him with a signed book, champagne and chocolates.

As Captain Degerlund says of his crew, "You really are the very best," and to use his signature sign-off, "Take good care of each other." We couldn't agree more and wish him all the best aboard Borealis, where we're sure that new friendships will be made and old ones rekindled.

Amplitude: limited edition whisky

Adnams Amplitute Whiskey

We've partnered with Adnams to produce an exclusive batch of whisky named Amplitude, inspired by the ocean and our global adventures. This special cask joined us aboard Borealis's World Cruise, marking the final stage of its 10-year ageing process. Crafted from East Anglian malted barley, it spent a decade maturing in a French oak barrel by the sea at Adnams' Copper House Distillery in Southwold, Suffolk. At this point, rather than bottling it, we had bigger dreams. Taking it on a journey around the world means this whisky is more travelled than most. The motion of the waves and the shifting climates gave it distinct characteristics. Only 250 bottles of this exclusive whisky were produced, and they're now available to purchase on our ships.

Updated Dining Times

Guests dining in the Aurora restaurant, Borealis

For guests that are yet to sail with us since summer this year, we're please to advise that our dining times in the main restaurant across our fleet have been updated. First sitting will begin at 6pm, and second sitting at 8pm. These changes were made in response to recent feedback to better accommodate guest preferences. Additionally, evening entertainment times have been adjusted to align with the updated dining schedule. It's worth noting that on embarkation day and formal nights, second sitting will be at 8.15pm
