And now, to help turn these moments into memories that last a lifetime, we’ve assembled our first 'Moments Crew', a group of famous documentarians who will capture guests’ most memorable on-board moments in art, literature and photography.

Artist Jim Moir (aka Vic Reeves), best-selling writer Jenny Eclair, and celebrity photographer Scarlet Page are all setting sail with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines this year, and are taking their canvases, notebooks and cameras with them.

Widely celebrated for his irreverent wit, glorious eccentricity and tremendous creativity, Jim Moir attended the Sir John Cass Art School in London at the age of 22 before becoming a household name in British comedy for TV work including Vic Reeves Big Night Out, Shooting Stars, Vic Reeves Turner Prize Moments, The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer, Coronation Street and House of Fools. Art has always remained his first love, and his original, eccentric and mischievous artwork has been exhibited at institutions including the Royal Academy in London.

Jim is bringing his easel and paints aboard Borealis’ eight-night ‘Scenic Fjords and Falls of Norway’ cruise, setting sail from Dover on 28^th May 2025. He will be putting a number of guests’ favourite scenic views on canvas as a special memento of their cruise.

Stand-up comedian Jenny Eclair was the first woman to win the Perrier Award – the UK’s top comedy award – in 1995. Since then, Jenny has taken multiple shows on tour around the UK, starred in various TV programmes, and hosted multiple podcasts. Jenny is also a critically acclaimed author with seven novels, a collection of short stories and several non-fiction books under her belt. Her latest writing endeavour is a memoir titled Jokes, Jokes, Jokes, which was published in October 2024. She’s touring her show Jokes, Jokes, Jokes in 2025.

Jenny is packing her notebook and pen for Balmoral’s 13-night ‘Fairytale Castles and Old Towns of the Baltic’ cruise, sailing from Rosyth, Edinburgh, on 27^th June 2025. While aboard, she will turn several guest experiences into memorable short stories.

Scarlet Page has been a passionate photographer her whole life and her education culminated in studying photography at the University of Westminster in the early 1990s. She quickly developed her own fresh, documentary style of reportage travelling America with The Smashing Pumpkins, The Beastie Boys and the other acts on the Lollapolooza tour. Scarlet has worked with some of the music world’s biggest acts including The Rolling Stones, Stereophonics and Robbie Williams. In 2020 she was selected as a winner of The British Journal of Photography’s ‘Portrait of Britain’ award. She is an active member of the Association of Photographers.

Scarlet will be bringing her cameras on board Bolette’s 13-night ‘Volcanic Vistas of the Azores and Madeira’ cruise, departing from Liverpool on 25^th July 2025. She will be turning her lens to selected guests, capturing their big and small memorable moments.

Moments Crew Terms and Conditions

Jim Moir

· Guests from 2 cabins will be selected at random to spend time with Jim Moir during the cruise, and will receive a bespoke landscape painted and signed by the artist

· Winning guests must have booked onto Borealis’ eight-night S2515 ‘Scenic Fjords and Falls of Norway’ cruise, departing from Dover on 28th May 2025

· The ballot is open to all bookings made by Friday, 28th February 2025 inclusive

· Guests must opt to enter the ballot via MyCruises

· The successful guests will be notified prior to the end of March 2025

· The ballot does not cover any other part of the cruise experience or associated costs thereof

· The successful guests must have a full and valid passport, with at least six months’ validity from the last day of the cruise

· This promotional competition is not for resale, is non-refundable and non-transferable and will not be replaced if lost or stolen. No cash/credit refunds can be given

· If Fred. Olsen is required to cancel this cruise for any reason, a suitable alternative cruise will be offered.
